Will you believe, A batting lineup comprising of world class batsman like Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers has been shot out for the lowest IPL score ever. Not the single batsman managed to get into double digit score.
It was worst batting performance by any IPL team and one of the worst collapses ever. It is the lowest score in the IPL and the 10th-lowest in all Twenty20 cricket.
Before RCB batting, It looked like RCB had done pretty well to keep KKR down to 131. KKR felt they were about 50 run short in total, especially after the start Sunil Narine had given them, a 17-ball 34 in the fastest team fifty this IPL.
They had collapsed 65 for 1 to be bowled out only for the third time when batting first in IPL.
RCB needed 132 runs to win the game with Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers in their side. But KKR were just unstoppable with the ball. Nathan Coulter-Nile proved too hot to handle and ripped the game right open with a quick 3-fer.
After Nathan-Nile, Woakes nipped the ball around, he might have well been bowling in England. RCB just couldn’t handle the pressure and the way they succumbed was quite shocking to say the least. Check full Scoreboard
