ICC Womens World CUP 2017:

Punam-Raut and Jhulan Goswami star in WC 17
India lost in final against England in ICC Womens World CUP 2017, but still our Indian women cricket team has made us proud. Especially Punam Raut’s 88 and Jhulan Goswami’s 3 wickets were the highlights of the match.

Now we can loudly say “Hamari Chhoria Chhoro se badhkar hain”. Now the famous dialogue of Amir’s movie Dangal “Hamari Chhoria Chhoro se kam hai kya” should be change.

Punam Ganesh Raut born on 14 October 1989 made it for India. Two month ago Raut set a world record opening partnership of 320 runs with Deepti Sharma on 15 May 2017 in a ODI verses Ireland with contribution of 109 runs. This partenership beat both the standing women’s record of 229 by Sarah Taylor and Caroline Atkins of England and the standing men’s record in ODIs of 286 by Upul Tharanga and Sanath Jayasuriya of Sri Lanka.

Jhulan Nishit Goswami born 25 November 1982 in Nadia, West Bengal is an all round cricketer. She is an integral part of the team, Jhulan is noted for both her batting and bowling (right arm medium) capabilities. She has a Test bowling average of less than 20. In the 2006-07 season she guided the Indian team to first test series win in England.
