OM Puri died at the age of 66 Bollywood personalities gave condolence:
Om Puri – A versitile actor of Bollywood passes away at the age of 66 on Friday morning after a massive cardiac arrest. Om Puri’s body is at his residence in Andheri and his old friends and colleagues from Bollywood have arrived to pay their last respects. Om Puri has appeared in many hit Bollywood movies as well as Pakistani, British and Hollywood films. The actor has received the fourth highest civilian award of India Padma Shri .
Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit tweeted the news of his demise on Friday morning. Also Producer/Director/Actor Karan Johar as well as other Bollywood personalities payed condolence on social media

Om Puri born on 18 October 1950 in Ambala, Haryana to a Punjabi family. His father worked in the railways and in the Indian Army. Puri graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. He was also an alumnus of the 1973 class of National School of Drama where Naseeruddin Shah was a co-student. He made his film debut in the 1976 Marathi film Ghashiram Kotwal, based on a Marathi play of the same name by Vijay Tendulkar. It was directed by K. Hariharan and Mani Kaul in cooperation with 16 graduates of the FTII.
