Lenovo has  launched  today  Moto Z and Moto Z Play semi-modular smartphones in India, along with the Moto Mods.

The Moto Z has been priced at Rs. 39,999, while Moto Z Play has been priced at Rs. 24,999.

Release Date

Both smartphones will be available via both Amazon India and Flipkart from 11:59pm on October 17.

 

Both smartphones run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and have been launched in dual-SIM (Nano-SIM) variants in India. The Moto Z will be available in Black with Lunar Grey trim, and White with Fine Gold trim colour variants. The Moto Z Play will be available in Black with Silver trim, and White with Fine Gold trim colour variants. Both smartphones also come with water-repellent nano-coating, and a fingerprint sensor on the home button.

Moto Z Specification

The Moto Z features a 5.5-inch QHD  Amoled display, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC coupled with 4GB of  RAM. The smartphone havving a  13-megapixel rear camera with  laser autofocus, optical image stabilisation, and dual-LED flash. It is available in 32GB and 64GB storage options.

On the front end, we have a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. Other features include a 2,600mAh battery with Turbo Charging support, a fingerprint scanner, NFC and USB Type-C port. There’s no headphone jack, though.

The Moto Z is not water resistant but there’s a water repellant nano-coating to prevent damage from an occasional splash.

The entire device is made of metal and the front is protected by Gorilla Glass 4.

Moto Z Play  Specification

The Moto Z Play features a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) Super AMOLED display, and also features a Snapdragon 625 processor and 3GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card. The Moto Z Play sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with laser auto-focus, f/2.0 aperture, and 4K recording capability. Other features include a dual-SIM card slot with USB Type-C port, and a 3510 mAh battery with turbo charging support.

Moto Z Play is having  a glass back panel instead of metal.
