Om Shanti Om will to premiere on August 28 on Star Bharat:
Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev’s upcoming reality show Om Shanti Om on Star Bharat Channel is the first-ever musical reality show which will be blend of devotional music and modern music . The show will present 14 participants who will lend their voices to the all re-arranged devotional music composed by music composer Aditya Pushkarna. A special episode will be aired to commemorate the launch of Star India’s new channel Star Bharat on August 28 from 6pm to 8pm.
Ranveer Singh to perform in opening episode:
The concept of the show has attracted a lot of attention. The show is being produced by Colosceum Media, This company has credit to produced hit shows like Roadies, Splitsvilla and MasterChef. A reality show based on devotional music has not been tried before on Indian TV. Bollywood heartthrob Ranveer Singh to perform on the opening episode of the show.
Yoga guru baba Ramdev said that, this is a great platform to bring out devotional genre of music through interesting renditions unheard before. I am delighted to be part of this show because it is everything that Indians are proud of, our tradition, our culture and our faith. With Om Shanti Om, we will redefine devotional music in a way it appeals to the youngsters today.
Om Shanti Om judges and host:
The show will be aired every Saturday and Sunday at 9pm. This show will be witness of Swami Ramdev on television as Maha Guru where Bollywood biggies Sonakshi Sinha and singers Shekhar Ravjiani and Baby Doll singer Kanika Kapoor will be seen as judge. Because of Yoga Guru who is going to judge any reality show very first time the show has been creating a lot of buzz ahead of its national premiere, Although Baba Ramdev had been made many appearances on reality shows before. Aparshakti Khurana will be seen as a host on the show. The set of the show has been designed by Omang Kumar.
Sonakshi Sinha who will be seen judging the show said, “I have always been spiritual and believe that music is the best way to reach any level of spirituality. Om Shanti Om is an extension of that belief and I love the way it is combining contemporary and youthful music with devotion. Shekar Ravjiani said taht When I heard the concept, I was amazed. This is the first time devotional songs will be sung in the rearranged version on national television.
