On the auspicious occasion of Telugu Ugadi, TDD will launch its own mobile app:

One more step towards digitalization, Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara of Tirumala at Tirupati in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, India, managed by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will launch its own devotee friendly mobile app.

On the auspicious occasion of Telugu Ugadi on 29th March, this mobile app will be launched to ease the darshan ticket booking system. After the launch of mobile app, the devotees across the world of Lord Venkateswara could easily and quickly book TTD accommodations, worship tickets and laddu prasadams.

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer D Sambasiva Rao said that the IT wig of TTD with the help of tech major TCS would design and develop a software application to run on all smartphones devices across the world. The devotees of Lord Venkateswara of Tirumala could also make their E-offerings too through the proposed Mobile App of TTD.

Internet lottery system for Arjitha Seva tickets:

Addressing media persons, Executive Officer D Sambasiva Rao said providing better amenities to pilgrims is a never ending activity in Tirumala. TTD  are also planning the feasibility to check Internet Lottery System keeping in view the demand for Arjitha Seva tickets which will take a couple of months.

About Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Tirumala:

Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple is situated in the hill town of Tirumala. The Tirumala Hills are part of Seshachalam Hills range. The hills are 2,799 ft above sea level. The Hills comprises seven peaks, representing the seven heads of Adisesha. The seven peaks are called Seshadri, Neeladri, Garudadri, Anjanadri, Vrushabhadri, Narayanadri and Venkatadri. The temple lies on the seventh peak -Venkatadri, on the southern banks of Sri Swami Pushkarini, a holy water tank. Hence the temple is also referred to as “Temple of Seven Hills”.

The Temple is dedicated to Lord Sri Venkateswara an incarnation of Vishnu who is believed to have appeared here to save mankind from trials and troubles of Kali Yuga. Hence the place has also got the name Kaliyuga Vaikuntham and Lord here is referred to as Kaliyuga Prathyaksha Daivam.

The temple is also known by other names like Tirumala Temple, Tirupati Temple, Tirupati Balaji Temple. Lord Venkateswara is known by many other names: Balaji, Govinda, and Srinivasa.
