Wow what a performance by Sayani Palit in 8^th episode and audition end episode of singing reality show Rising Star. The exceptionally talented and melodious singer hails from Kolkata, SayaniPalit managed to raise the wall with 93% of vote. Sayani’s melodious voice made people to vote for her. She won the the hearts of 3 Judges namely Shankar Mahadevan, Diljit Dosanjh and Monali Thakur , Audiences and live Viewers of show.

The differently abled singer requested to audience and judges before her performance that please listen me then vote for me, do not give me any advantage over others. Truly she is inspiration of many people specially who are differently abled. Expert judges of Rising Star India very impressed by Sayani’s performance, even they said that Sayani is the winner of show for them.

About Sayani Palit :

Sayani Palit belongs to Kolkata, West Bengal. She born in 1989 and started learning classical from the age of 4 years under Smt. Chandana Chakrabarty. She has first class first in Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Classical Music from Calcutta University. Still she is learning music under guru Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty and Padma Bhushan Girija Devi.

She has won many awards including the National Scholarship Award for the young artists 2010-2011 from the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India; Telegraph award for Excellence 2006, Dover lane talent search award 2011 and many other awards & scholarships. Sayani has also won the Benadryl Big Golden Voice of India Season 2 title. Sayani is a regular performing artist of All India Radio.

She has won the Benadryl Big Golden Voice of India Season 2 title. There were finally 12 contests in the finals out of 91,000 entries in a nation-wide talent hunt.
She got scholarship from ITC Sangeet Research Academy from 2009 to 2014.
National scholarship award for the young artists. 2010/2011 from the ministry of culture Govt of India.
She had secured 2nd position in Hindusthani music category in Naad Bhed -the Mystery of sound, a national-level classical music reality show organised by SPIC MACAY and Doordarshan.
Third in Dover Lane Talent Search Contest 2011.
Scholarship from Kajalrekha Musical Foundation in 2007.
Received Telegraph award for excellence in 2006.
